During 2019, Devon & Severn IFCA have been developing a new Byelaw – The Exemptions Byelaw 2019. This has now entered its quality assurance phase before consideration by the Secretary of State.
The proposed Exemptions Byelaw 2019 enables the Authority to consider and potentially grant or decline permission for the conducting of an activity that would otherwise be a contravention of a Byelaw or a Permit Condition within a Byelaw that the Authority has inherited or introduced.
If the Byelaw is confirmed in due course, D&S IFCA will develop a website page on the Environment & Research drop down menu. This is where information will be posted about the number and types of exemptions being issued for different activities.
